High-Core-Count Systems
 
   

Large core-count systems are beneficial for applications that have been parallelized to take advantage of multi-processor systems.  x86 systems are limited by the number of processors per system, but provide high-core-count per processor.  vSMP Foundation aggregate up to 16 x86 system-boards, providing up to 64 processors  per system, coupled with high-core-count per processor.  The resultant system provides end users with 128 cores with excellent performance and system scalability.

vSMP Foundation use best of breed volume-server processors providing maximum performance and best pricing.  In addition these volume-server processors are available with lower power-consumption profile.  Using multiple system boards allow vSMP Foundation parallel memory access across these board – providing the industry’s best memory bandwidth (click here for more information).
