We are looking for a highly motivated lead HPC engineer with a strong problem-solving skill set.
The Candidate must have:
- Strong written and verbal communications skills to interface with internal staff and customers. The Candidate would need excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with sales team, department heads, technical support staff, and customers.
- Actively engage in guiding project design working with drivers and architecture to coordinate improvements and problem resolutions for high-performance computing.
- Knowledge of programming fundamentals with a deep understanding of parallel computer architectures and optimizations.
- Clear understanding of the customer’s environment and topology.
- Expert Knowledge of servers, data storage, network, and switch configurations and other HPC hardware.
- Strong understanding of system administration issues, technologies, and best practices.
Primary responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Answering customer support issues via trouble-ticket software and phone for Level 3 technical support.
- Take ownership of customer tickets and provide resolution through research, analysis, and working with established vendors.
- Should be familiar with design of systems and clusters, including computational and storage clusters from component level to infrastructure.
- Gain a technical and functional understanding of company product architecture and develop expertise in analyzing data to isolate problems.
- Collect logs and data to assist in ongoing investigation of underlying defects in hardware and/or software that contributed to the customer issues.
- Developing test processes and procedures in troubleshooting of hardware systems for both component-level and system-level failures.
Successful applicants will have current work experience in:
- OS integrations and benchmarking
- Onsite Installation and support
- Contact center (phone, email and ticketing)
- Experience with software configuration of parallel file systems, networked-file systems and HPC Clusters.
